Power BI is where many companies want to see their Business Central data, but reports built in isolation often give different answers to the same question. Power BI Reporting and Analysis is an app we build for your business, so your reporting is coherent, trusted and easy to extend.

The Base Application already has the BI tools to support this work: reporting APIs, dimensions and date templates that carry business context along with the data. They make it quick to build Power BI apps with powerful features that normally require manual work in Power BI. We build on them, so figures in Power BI match what users see in Business Central, and dimensions and calendars work the same way in every report.

If you need to report several companies together as a group, we recommend BC2SQL. It collects data from many companies in one SQL database with a consistent structure, which Power BI then uses for group-level reports and analysis.
