Description

BC2SQL replicates selected Business Central tables and fields into a SQL database that you own and control. The data is updated incrementally, as often as every two minutes, so Power BI, Excel, a data warehouse or SQL-based integrations always work on fresh data.

Three components work together. A Business Central extension lets you choose companies, tables and fields. A .NET component, BC2SQL.exe, runs as a Windows service or console application on an Azure VM or your own server, and handles the transfer. The SQL database can be Azure SQL or your own SQL Server, and the tables get the same structure as in Business Central, so existing reports and integrations keep working.

BC2SQL is read-only and reads from the Business Central shadow database, so production is not loaded. It is a practical choice when moving from NAV to Business Central SaaS and you want to keep a SQL-based data warehouse, when you need group reporting across companies and environments, or when standard API extraction no longer scales.

Price note
Annual plan, billed annually with a 12-month commitment. A monthly plan with one month notice is EUR 449 per month. Both include unlimited sandbox environments, all three components, error monitoring and free upgrades. BC2SQL is a product from bc2sql.com and is priced and supported by them.
Setup
Self-setup takes about 2 hours (install the extension, install BC2SQL.exe, connect to SQL, select tables and start synchronization). With assisted remote setup it takes about 3-4 hours.
