Description

Order Promising gives you a clear, real-time picture of whether your sales orders will be delivered on time — before your customers have to ask.

A projected shipment and delivery date is calculated for every sales order line, using inventory, purchase orders and transfer orders, plus handling time, shipping time and transfer route lead times. Each line shows how many days it is off from the promised date and whether supply is missing, partial or surplus, and you can drill down to the supply behind each date. When an order is at risk of being late, you know about it in time to act.

When supply is tight, it can be allocated to orders in shipment date order. A special order link ties a purchase or transfer line directly to a specific sales order and follows the goods through receipts and transfer orders — so the connection between supply and demand is maintained regardless of how many steps the goods pass through on the way to the customer.

Cues and lists on the role center show late orders and orders that have improved, so you can act before the customer calls.
